Description: The glen occupied by Loch an Duin is a major glacial breach through the main east-west watershed of the Grampian Highlands, whereas the slopes of the mountain to the west, An Dun, have been affected by many Rock Slope Failures

Justification: The Loch an Duin Breach is a good example of a glacial breach and it, together with related features, are important in the study of long-term landscape evolution of the Grampian Highlands. An Dun and surrounding hills boast excellent examples of rock slope failures and tension cracks.
